| Title: | Fatores determinantes do desmame precoce: um estudo de revisão bibliográfica |

| Abstract: | Trata-se de um estudo de revisão com o objetivo de investigar os fatores determinantes do desmame precoce, no intuito de se compreender os danos causados à saúde das crianças com essa prática, bem como a importância do aleitamento materno exclusivo. Por meio de uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica em artigos, livros e manuais do Ministério da Saúde, verificou-se que muitas são as causas que conduzem ao abandono do aleitamento materno, dentre elas a ausência de informações das mães sobre a importância da amamentação, influência negativa da mídia que estimula o uso de alimentos em substituição ao leite materno, o retorno da mulher ao trabalho, usos e costumes relacionados à cultura popular, o relacionamento da mãe com o bebê após o parto, além de preocupações estéticas da mãe em relação ao seu corpo após a gravidez e a amamentação. Sendo assim, o estudo mostrou que o desmame ainda é uma realidade negativa ressaltada pela literatura e, por isso, leva à necessidade de se intensificar ações de promoção ao aleitamento materno no sentido de esclarecer melhor sobre a importância do aleitamento e sobre os aspectos negativos do desmame precoce. |
| Abstract: | This is a review study aimed to investigate the determinants of early weaning in order to understand the damage caused to health of children with this practice, and the importance of exclusive breastfeeding. Through a literature review of research articles, books and manuals of the Ministry of Health, found that there are many causes leading to the abandonment of breastfeeding, among them the absence of information from mothers about the importance of breastfeeding, influence negative media that encourages the use of food to replace the breast milk of women returning to work and habits related to popular culture, the relationship of mother and baby after the childbirth, and aesthetic concerns of the mother in relation to your body after pregnancy and breastfeeding. Thus, the study showed that weaning is still a negative reality underscored by the literature and therefore leads to the need to intensify actions to promote breastfeeding in order to clarify the importance of breastfeeding and on the negative aspects of weaning. |
