| Abstract: | No município de Aricanduva há uma grande demanda de paciente que buscam o serviço odontológico da prefeitura municipal com a finalidade de remover dentes permanentes. Assim, esse trabalho tem por objetivo avaliar o número de dentes permanentes removidos no serviço de saúde bucal da prefeitura municipal de Aricanduva no ano de 2009. O trabalho evidenciou que foram removidos 464 dentes permanentes em 230 pacientes que procuram o serviço uma ou mais vezes no decorrer do ano. Houve maior procura das mulheres (120), na idade adulta, em detrimento aos homens (110). O grupo de dente mais removidos foram os molares seguidos dos pré-molares e por último os incisivos. Tais resultados nos indicam que um elevado número de dentes foram removidos tornando-se necessário uma mudança no modelo assistencial com promoção à saúde e intervenções assistenciais para melhorias nas condições de saúde bucal da população adulta do município. |
| Abstract: | Aricanduva MG in the municipality there is still a great demand for patient seeking dental treatment of municipal government in order to remove permanent teeth. Thus, this study aims to assess the number of permanent teeth removed on oral health services in the city government of Aricanduva in 2009. The study showed that 464 permanent teeth were removed in 230 patients seeking the service one or more times during the year. There was more demand for women (120) in adulthood rather than to men (110). The group removed more teeth were molars followed by premolars and finally the incisors. These results indicate that in a large number of top teeth are being removed thereby requiring a change in care model intervention and assistance to promote improvements in oral health status of the adult population of the municipality. |
