Abstract

The humanization in the attendance is one politics that adopted principles and guiding marks in diverse areas of the health. In the actions of humanization she is necessary to know the history of life of each patient so that the attendance is efficient. This study it had as objective to describe the relevance of a humanized dental attendance to the elderly. It was used as research method, the revision narrative of literature knowledge to subsidize the preparation of the work. The search was in the national data bases for the election of the literature of the Virtually Library of Health - BIREME and SCIELO. One concluded that the professionals of buccal health in the Strategy Health of the Family, have basic paper in the promotion of one better quality of life the elderly. E for this, is of so great relevance that the professional in dental understands the patient in its peculiarities, physiological and mainly psychological conditions. The aged population, by being a fragile group, will have to be attended with welcoming actions that will go to motivate it it the treatment by means of the humanization of the attendance, unmasking begins it the obstacles that hinder it to search the surgeon dentist.
