| Title: | O sigilo profissional no contexto da Estratégia Saúde da Família |

| Abstract: | A Estratégia Saúde da Família trabalha com uma equipe multiprofissional dinâmica e articulada com o intuito de oferecer ao paciente uma atenção integral à saúde. O objetivo do estudo foi identificar na literatura nacional a importância do sigilo profissional e a relação com o processo de trabalho em saúde na Estratégia Saúde da Família, por meio de revisão de literatura. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica narrativa, com publicações entre 1940 a 2011 disponíveis na BVS Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, nas seguintes bases de dados LILACS e SciELO e leis brasileiras. Para a busca dos artigos foram utilizadas as palavras chave sigilo, estratégia saúde da família e ética. Os profissionais da ESF trabalham em contato direto com a comunidade, realizando visitas domiciliares e desenvolvendo trabalhos educativos por meio de grupos e, nestes contatos próximos revelam informações pessoais. As informações constituídas através da pratica profissional configuram segredo profissional e devem ser manejadas com ética e zelo. O compartilhamento das informações deve ser realizado nos casos previstos em lei ou com a autorização do titular da informação. É de responsabilidade do profissional manter a guarda do prontuário, podendo o paciente solicitar o acesso a qualquer tempo. Conclui-se que o sigilo profissional é resguardado por lei e deve ser manipulado com ética e compromisso pelos profissionais da saúde dentro do processo de trabalho da ESF. |
| Abstract: | The Family Health Strategy works with a dynamic and articulated multidisciplinary team in order to offer the patient a comprehensive health care. The aim of this study was to identify on national literature the importance of professional secrecy regarding the process of health work in the Family Health Strategy through literature review. We conducted a narrative literature, with publications from 1940 to 2011 available in VHL - Virtual Health Library in the following databases LILACS and SciELO and Brazilian laws. To search for articles the keywords used were secrecy, the family health strategy and ethics. The FHT professionals working in direct contact with the community, making home visits and developing educational work through groups, and these close contacts reveal personal information. The information constituted throughout professional practices sets professional secrecy and should be managed ethically and zeal. The sharing of information must be made in cases provided by law or with the authorization of the information. It is the professional's responsibility to maintain custody of the records, because the patient may request access to any time. It is concluded that professional secrecy is safeguarded by law and should be handled with ethics and commitment by health professionals within the working process of the FHS. |
