Desafios encontrados pelo docente no curso técnico de enfermagem

Abstract

Teaching constitutes an area of expertise of the nurse has expanded greatly in recent times. Exercise involves teaching challenges for growth of teachers and students. Recent years have seen an expansion of technical schools of nursing in Brazil, and parallel to this, came the necessity of including nurses in teaching. Teaching in nursing is a challenge, because to do it, makes it necessary to overcome barriers, to invest in upgrading and especially to identify the weaknesses of the teacher. From this reflection, we have identified our research problem: not enough is known of the problems faced by nurses in their daily practice teaching. It is recalled that when it recognizes the shortcomings of a group, it becomes difficult to invest in improving it. This study aimed to identify the main difficulties in the literature of Nursing Lecturer, in order to provide educators in this area the opportunity to share their difficulties. We performed an integrative literature review in the period between 2001 and 2011. For the literature search, we used the following descriptors: "Nursing Lecturer" and "Professional competence" or "professional role" or "problems" or "difficulties". We found 173 articles, after reading titles and abstracts, four articles were selected according to the relevance of the issue and meet the criteria for inclusion. The results highlight the importance and necessity of having more primary studies on the subject in question, since the satisfaction of the binomial teacher / student is directly related to the quality of education, and, consequently, the care provided to patients.
