| Abstract: | O objetivo deste trabalho foi apresentar o perfil dos alunos de um curso técnico de enfermagem de uma escola particular no município de Governador Valadares - MG. Trata-se de estudo descritivo, exploratório e de natureza quantitativa. Integra o projeto do Curso de Especialização de Formação Pedagógica em Educação na Área da Saúde: Enfermagem (CEFPEPE). Os dados foram levantados a partir da aplicação de um questionário para 44 alunos, no mês outubro de 2011. A escolha dos alunos foi aleatória, dentre aqueles que atendiam aos seguintes critérios: aluno regularmente matriculado, freqüente há mais de 06 meses e concordância formal em participar do estudo. Os dados foram tratados com estatística descritiva, na forma de freqüência simples e percentual. Os respondentes foram na sua maioria do sexo feminino, com o percentual de 47,72% dos alunos entre 21 a 30 anos de idade. 47,73% dos alunos apontaram o cansaço físico como maior dificuldade na realização do curso. 90,9% possuem renda familiar de até 03 salários mínimos. Declararam maior afinidade pelas áreas de clínica médica, maternidade e pediatria e expectativa de alcançarem um emprego ao final do curso, pois somente duas alunas trabalham atualmente na área da saúde, como agente comunitário de saúde. |
| Abstract: | The objective of this study was to present the profile of students in a nursing technician course at a private school in the city of Governador Valadares - MG. It is descriptive, exploratory and quantitative in nature. Integrates the design of the Specialization Course of Teacher Training Education in Healthcare: Nursing (CEFPEPE). The data were gathered from the application of a questionnaire to 44 students in the month of October 2011. The random selection of students was among those who met the following criteria: student regularly enrolled, often more than 06 months and formal agreement to participate. The data were processed with descriptive statistics in the form of simple frequency and percentage. Respondents were mostly female, with the percentage of 47.72% of students between 21 and 30 years old. 47.73% of the students pointed to the physical fatigue and greater difficulty in the course. 90.9% have household incomes of up to 03 minimum wages. Reported a higher affinity for the areas of internal medicine, pediatrics and maternity and employment expected to reach the end of the course, because only two students are currently working in the area of health, such as community health agents. |
