| Abstract: | O conhecimento do contexto sócio-demográfico e acadêmico dos alunos permite implantar estratégias para a transformação da prática educativa, resultando em um processo de ensino-aprendizagem, que permeia a troca de experiências necessárias ao ensino sistematizado, qualificado e transformador. O presente estudo teve por objetivo caracterizar o perfil dos discentes egressos do curso técnico em enfermagem de uma escola técnica federal no estado de Minas Gerais. Trata-se de um estudo de campo com delineamento transversal e de abordagem quantitativa, realizado em 2011, com 26 discentes de uma escola técnica. A população consta de indivíduos adultos jovens, com predominância do sexo feminino e idades variando entre 20 e 50 anos. Referente ao estado civil foi observado que 15 (57,8%) são solteiros, 9 (34,6%) casados e 1 (3,8%) divorciados/separados. Quanto ao número de filhos, 16 (61,5%) não possuem filho; enquanto que, 9 ( 34,6%) possuem de 1 a 3 filhos. Em relação à residência, 18 (69,2%) moram em casa própria e os demais em casa alugada e/ou cedida. A respeito da renda familiar, 14 (53,9%) possuem de 2 a 3 salários mínimos. Dentre os recursos em suas residências, o telefone celular, foi o mais citado 26 (100%), seguidos da televisão e computador, sendo que com acesso a internet em menor escala. É interessante destacar que atualmente, o desenvolvimento da sociedade está atrelado ao consumo da tecnologia, diante disso, os avanços científico-tecnológicos têm exigido dos profissionais da saúde conhecimentos específicos, habilidades e aprimoramento, constantes. Entre a religião mais referida está a católica com 13 (50,0%). No que diz respeito às dificuldades encontradas para realizar ou concluir o curso técnico de enfermagem foram relevantes, o cansaço físico referido por 11 (42,3%) e a não liberação pelo empregador com 7 (27,0%). Em relação às áreas com mais afinidade, foi possível identificar uma preferência em áreas hospitalares, 23 (88,5%); e para Unidade Básica de Saúde 2 (7,7%); 1 (3,8%) não respondeu ao item. Referente às expectativas ao final do curso, ficou evidente que, a grande preocupação está relacionada à empregabilidade, aquisição de conhecimentos e alcance de objetivos pessoais. Espera-se que os resultados elucidados na presente pesquisa possam subsidiar novos estudos e, além disso, facilitar a compreensão dos desafios iminentes no processo educacional; no desenvolvimento de políticas e de práticas pedagógicas eficazes na formação profissional em enfermagem; em uma escola mais democrática, preparando cidadãos para a vida democrática, apontando os caminhos para o saber pensar e o saber fazer, de forma transformadora, consciente e interdisciplinar. |
| Abstract: | The knowledge of the socio-demographic and academic by the student allows the implement of strategies for the transformation of educational practice, resulting in a teaching-learning process that permeates the exchange of the necessary experience for a systematic, qualified and transforming teaching. This study aimed to set the profile of the the students who have already graduated in Nursing Technical Course in a technical school in the State of Minas Gerais. It is a field study with cross-sectional design and quantitative approach, performed in 2011 with 26 students from a technical school. The population consists of young adults, predominantly female aged between 20 and 50 years. Regarding marital status it was observed that 15 (57.8%) were single, 9 (34.6%) married and 1 (3.8%) divorced/separated. As the number of children, 16 (61.5%) do not have any, whereas 9 (34.6%) have 1-3. Regarding residence, 18 (69.2%) live in their own home and the others in a rented and/or transferred. Regarding family income, 14 (53.9%) have 2 to 3 minimum wages. Among the resources at home, the phone was the most cited 26 (100%), followed by television and computer, and access to the internet on a smaller scale. It is interesting to note that currently, the development of society is linked to the consumption of technology; because of that, the scientific and technological advances have required health professionals with specific knowledge, skills and improvement. Among the most reported religion is Catholic with 13 (50.0%). Regarding difficulties encountered in performing or completing the Technical Nursing Course, they were relevant due to physical fatigue reported by 11 (42.3%) and not released by the employer with seven (27.0%). In relation to areas with greater affinity, it was possible to identify a preference in field hospitals, 23 (88.5%); and Basic Health Unit 2 (7.7%); 1 (3.8%) did not answer to this item. Expectations regarding the end of the course, it was evident that the major concern is related to employability, knowledge acquisition and achieving personal goals. It is hoped that the elucidated results in this study may support new studies and furthermore facilitate the understanding of the challenges looming in the educational process, the development of policies and effective teaching practices in vocational training in nursing and in a more democratic school, preparing citizens for democratic life, pointing the way to knowing how to think and how to do, in a transforming, conscientious and interdisciplinary way. |
