Retorno dos jogos olímpicos e os possíveis legados após os jogos, Rio 2016

Abstract

With the return of the Olympic Games, the initiative of Baron de Coubertin, after thirty editions comes the time for Brazil to host this mega sports events. The host city contemplated to receive these was the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro. With the completion of these is of paramount importance to understand the meaning and representing the Games, the Olympic Movement, Olympism and Olympic Education. In all countries and host cities where the Games began, it was noted that there was a change in the economic sector, in transport, in care of the environment, among others. The expectation is that with the completion of those here not only the city of Rio, but throughout Brazil benefits from legacies. The objective of this study is to make it a literature review focusing on the Olympic Movement and to verify the possible impact, legacy after the Games in 2016, not only in the city of Rio de Janeiro and throughout Brazil. This study was conducted through analysis of articles, books and magazines internationally renowned authors and subject matter experts, among a timeline of ten years. The study established the Internet as a guideline consultation with the key words: Olympic Games, the Olympic Movement, Olympic Legacy. It is possible that with all this investment to the Brazilian population can improve their quality of life through a greater awareness of the sport, health and physical activity. Do not forget that sport is a powerful tool to educate citizens.
