| Abstract: | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo identificar as complicações ocorridas com o uso do cateter totalmente implantado em pacientes portadores de câncer. O referencial metodológico usado foi a prática baseada em evidências (PBE) e, como método de revisão de literatura a revisão integrativa. Foram selecionados 05 artigos, todos acessados pela internet, na base de dados MEDLINE e disponibilizado pelo departamento de comutação da biblioteca. Os resultados mostraram que a infecção e obstrução do cateter totalmente implantado são as complicações mais encontradas em seu uso, e, raramente a rouquidão, sendo necessário, exame específico para o achado desta complicação. Verificou-se ainda que as complicações podem ser evitadas com a manipulação correta do dispositivo por profissionais experientes, com o uso da heparinização respeitando-se o intervalo mínimo entre a implantação e o primeiro uso do cateter. Considera-se que o enfermeiro é o profissional que mais manipula este tipo de cateter após sua implantação, cabendo maior aprimoramento da técnica de manipulação por este profissional. |
| Abstract: | This study aims to identify the complications occurred with the use of totally implanted catheter in patients with cancer. The methodological framework was used to evidence-based practice (EBP) and as a method of literature review integrative review. We selected 05 articles, all accessed through the Internet, in the MEDLINE database and made available by the Department of switching the library. The results showed that infection and obstruction of the totally implanted catheter are the most common complications in their use, and rarely hoarseness, if necessary, specific test for finding this complication. It was also found that complications can be avoided with the proper handling of the device by experienced professionals, with the use of heparin respecting the minimum interval between the introduction and the first use of the catheter. It is considered that the nurse is a professional who handles more this type of catheter after its implementation, leaving further refinement of the technique of manipulation by this professional. |
