| Title: | Prevenção e diagnóstico precoce do câncer bucal na rede de atenção primária |

| Abstract: | O câncer representa um importante problema de saúde pública no mundo, devido ao aumento da sua prevalência, além do grande impacto individual, institucional e social. O câncer de boca representa o quinto lugar em incidência. O objetivo deste trabalho foi definir diretrizes para a implementação de ações de prevenção e diagnóstico precoce do câncer bucal na rede de atenção primária, usando para tal finalidade a revisão de artigos literários e a caracterização do trabalho já existente nesse segmento de atenção. Concluiu-se que deve haver uma potencialização do trabalho, dando maior ênfase as ações de promoção e prevenção, incluindo tanto as ações individuais quanto as coletivas. Havendo maior conscientização sobre a doença e suas conseqüências é possível prevenir o câncer de boca, que, quando diagnosticado precocemente, tem aumentada a possibilidade de sua cura completa. |
| Abstract: | Cancer represents a major public health problem worldwide due to its increased prevalence, and the great impact the individual, institutional and social. Oral cancer is the fifth in incidence. The objective of this study was to define guidelines for the implementation of prevention and early diagnosis of oral cancer in primary care network, using for this purpose to review the articles and literary characterization of existing work in this segment of attention. It was concluded that there should be an augmentation of labor, a greater emphasis on the promotion and prevention, including both the individual and collective actions. If there is greater awareness about the disease and its consequences can prevent cancer of the mouth, which, when diagnosed early, has increased the possibility of its complete cure. |
