Ações do terapeuta ocupacional na atenção primária à saúde: revisão integrativa da literatura

Abstract

This article is configured as an integrative literature review and aims to identify the actions developed by the Occupational Therapist in Primary Health Care. For data collection were carried out searches in the database of the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS), indexed in Virtual Health Library (VHL) / BIREME. In different search strategies, it was possible to initially capture 32 articles; after reading their abstracts and definition of inclusion criteria it selected the sample of 12 articles. The atentiva reading of publications allowed to seize the following thematic categories: 'Home care as a performance space of the Occupational Therapist'; 'The role of the occupational therapist in promotion, prevention and rehabilitation to health'; and 'Matrix support and actions in the territory: the challenges of Occupational Therapy'. The results of this integrative review show a multitude of possibilities for the role of occupational therapists in primary care. Their role is crucial in ensuring effective and comprehensive, equitable and universal health care. The TO acting universe in primary care is still under construction, there are few publications on the subject, which limited the study, but it is motivational for new insights, reflections and research about the training, qualification and performance of these professionals, thus enhancing the importance of their inclusion in the SUS.
