Atuação do enfermeiro como educador em saúde junto às mulheres rurais

Abstract

Women throughout the time have always hold the role of homes caretaker, providing food and taking care of the children, when they do not the same with the community. According to the above-mentioned, it is perceived that the rural woman, in her historical and cultural context, with the responsibility to generate, create, educate and work, builds her world view. Their daily living habits reflects their health condition, disease and aging. She works side by side to her husband and children in the farming, and also has activities at home, assumes the children's education, an exclusively female assignment. Studies have investigated this issue, however, there are still many gaps in what concerns to the health care of rural women. Owing to this fact, a study focused on the health analysis of this clientele is necessary in order to better provide a more directive and worthy health care to these women. It is intended to identify in the literature related actions of nurses to health education in the prevention of diseases and disorders in rural women. The methodology consisted in a Integrative Review, integrating keywords set from a consultation to the Descriptors in Science and Health, with different databases accessed in order to better meet the demand of this research. 12 articles published in Portuguese and English since 2000 and appropriate to the theme in question were selected to compose this review. The results evidenced in the study demonstrate that the rural population, especially the woman, is lagging reggarding to care in health promotion and prevention. The results show that the Family Health Teams, as well as the nurses, must be able to deal with different contexts, by welcoming and motivating diverse populations to look for different types of health care. Furthermore, the rural woman still has beliefs that need to be demystified, making room to new health care techniques that can answer her health needs in a more fully and universally way. Therefore, it is concluded that health education actions that evinces the care of this clientele must be effected in order to enable fully and universal care to rural women with respect to aspects related to the health promotion and prevention.
