O perímetro de irrigação de Pirapora e os reflexos sobre a produção, emprego e renda

Abstract

The irrigated perimeters aim to set infrastructures for job and income generation, reducing the social and economical dichotomy of the areas around them. The objective of this work is to investigate the reflection of the irrigated perimeter from Pirapora on the rural and local entrepreneurs' socioeconomic development. The used methodology is a bibliographical investigation and rising of secondary data on the perimeter irrigated from 1970 to 2011 at CODEVASF Company. The results demonstrate the evolution of the production, job and income generation in the analyzed period. This work allows to concluding that there was an increase in the agricultural production, stabilization in the job generation, balance in the gross income and the banana's culture has been occupying the planted areas gradually, now it represent 46.88% of the area to fruit crop.
