Relatos de uma adolescente em crise: um caso de Anorexia? Bulimia?

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescence is a stage of life characterized by intense biopsychosocial transformations. Teenagers suffer losses and changes beyond their control, witch may cause crises in their reorganization process of being. Anorexia and Bulimia can be symptoms of this crisis. Case report: Female patient, 19 years old, with symptoms of anorexia and bulimia, followed by the Service of Bulimia Anorexia's Clinical Hospital of the Federal University of Minas Gerais for two years (2006-2008), by a multidisciplinary team. She wrote her autobiography "Reports of a Teenage in Crisis", telling her history, anxieties and her struggle to self discovery, stop being a child and become a woman. Discussion: This case report shows the subject's suffering going through puberty and possible symptomatic answers of adolescence to Real puberty and sexual non-relation (study and eating disorder). According to psychoanalysis, the symptom is a response to the lack of knowledge of each subject. A multidisciplinary team is indicated for the treatment of these symptoms, wich may threat life, and to help this troubled crossing that can be adolescence.
