Apropriações sociais e vivências de lazer em rios urbanos de Foz Iguaçu e suas margens

Abstract

The overall objective of this research was to identify and discuss the social appropriations and leisure experiences carried out in urban rivers of Foz do Iguaçu and its banks. To achieve this goal, discussed --- the characteristics, changes and contradictions that occur in these inland areas of the city. Also sought to understand how the locals are these rivers. The focus of the research focuses especially in the Paraná River, due to its proximity to the population density of Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil). The city is situated in the so called Triple Frontier, which includes also Puerto Iguazu (Argentina) and Ciudad del Este (Paraguay). Another major river, the Iguaçu, was also contemplated. The methodology of this qualitative research included literature research, observations and interviews with 23 residents Foz do Iguaçu. Were interviewed initially 10 city residents, references in the cultural, educational and sporting arena, and strong affiliation with the fluvial environment. In addition to these interviews, --- made if other residents of Foz do Iguaçu, in two locations chosen for observation and potential for leisure activities in River: Prainha call and the Three Borders Landmark. In this work, there --- that the appropriations and leisure experiences made --- it off as the urban changes and natural environment virtually despised an integrative way between the city and the river environment. So today most of the population of Foz de Iguaçu lives "back" into the rivers. There remain, however fishing practices for leisure and adventure sports in the river environment and its banks. These leisure activities and urban transformations can not be analyzed without interlacing the historical, socio-political, environmental and cultural mouth of the Iguaçu. They were also addressed speeches and clashes of different classes , who entered the field of disputes by ordering the city . There was , in the city , an option favored by eye toward tourists , which impacts the spacious public and democratic leisure for residents . This is one of observed and contradictions in the statements of witnesses . Also he realized , as well as its environmental and symbolic heritage. Deponents mean the rivers especially in the context of territorial struggles for survival and illegal practices . On the other hand , also print the meaning through play experiences , comtemplativas , spiritual and interactive with the water. These multiple viewpoints on the rivers pass through broader context, trinational , where the faces of violence and commercial rationality jostle for space with the use value and socio-cultural encounters of different identities
