Title: Instrumentos na avaliação da fragilidade em idosos comunitários: uma revisão de literatura
Authors: Jessica Paola Souza Lima
First Advisor: Joana Ude Viana
Foram encontrados como instrumentos fisiológicos: marcadores imunológicos, 25 hidroxivitamina D, proteína C-reativa e concentração de hormônios reprodutivos; e como instrumentos clínicos: The Marigliano Cacciafesta Polypathological Scale (MCPS), Study of Osteoporotic Fractures (SOF) index, Short Battery of Physical Performance, Groningen Frailty Index (GFI), Tilburg Frailty Index (TFI), Sherbrooke Postal Questionaire (SPQ), Cadiovascular Health Study (CHS) index, Edmonton Frailty Scale (EFS), CSBA index, The Frailty Trait Scale, FI-CGA, The Gill Frailty Index, Escala FRAIL, Frailty Index, Conselice Study of Brain Aging Score, Canadian Study of Health and Aging, Modified Short Emergency Geriatric, Clinical Global Impression of Change in Physical Frailty, Easycare Two-step Older persons Screening, Food Frequency Questionnaire, PRISMA-7, SMF-BIA, e Hubbard Scale.
Abstract: INTRODUCTION: There is no consensus regarding the evaluation of frailty. Because of this, the choice of instrument depends on the definition referred to, as well as the population variation. (19,20) The objective of this review was to search and describe questionnaires and tests for the diagnosis and evaluation of the frailty syndrome. METHODS: We conducted a systematic search in the databases PubMed, LILACS and MEDLINE through the descriptors "Frailty Syndrome" combined with "Assessment" and "Elderly Aged OR OR Older". RESULTS: There were a total of 38 items. They were found as physiological instruments: immunological markers, 25 hydroxyvitamin D, C-reactive protein and concentration of reproductive hormones; and as clinical instruments: The Marigliano Cacciafesta Polypathological Scale (MCPS), Study of Osteoporotic Fractures (SOF) index Short Battery of Physical Performance, Groningen Frailty Index (GFI), Tilburg Frailty Index (TFI), Sherbrooke Postal Questionnaire (SPQ) Cadiovascular Health Study (CHS) index, Edmonton Frailty Scale (EFS), CSBA index The Frailty Trait Scale, FI-CGA, The Gill Frailty Index, Frail Scale, Frailty Index, Conselice Study of Brain Aging Score, Canadian Study of Health and Aging, Modified Short Geriatric Emergency, Clinical Global Impression of Change in Physical Frailty, EasyCare - Two-step Older persons Screening, Food Frequency Questionnaire, PRISMA-7, SMF-BIA, and Hubbard Scale. CONCLUSION: Among the instruments found in the search, only the Food Frequency Questionnaire, Groningen Frailty Indicator, Tilburg Frailty Indicator and the Edmonton Frail Scale have been validated for the Brazilian Portuguese, with the need for more studies assessing frailty in our country.
