Fatores dificultadores da implantação da sistematização da assistência de enfermagem em unidades de terapia intensiva adulto

Abstract

The Nursing Process (NP) is a scientific methodology of work that enables to apply technical-scientific knowledge, characterizing professional nursing practice. Hereby, the nursing care systematization (NCS) appears as a legalized instrument that allows organizing and systematizing assistance. It's a way to make nursing more scientific, to promote a continuous, safe and dynamic human care. Its to standardize the care conduct, as well as providing the nurse and his team quality in the approach to the client, resulting in improved customer service, reduced hospitalization time, reduced hospital costs, infection control and optimizes the use of human resources. The study aimed to identify through produced literature factors that can complicate the implementation of the NCS in adult Intensive Care Units (ICU). It is an integrative review, which occurred between the months of April and May 2012, where it was analyzed seven articles that answered to the established inclusion criteria. The study showed that one of the factors that have complicated the implementation of the NCS in ICUs has been the lack of preparation of nurses, especially the lack of training services and continuity of the nursing process once deployed, besides the overhead tasks and chores of everyday life. However, it is necessary to rethink new strategies so that this methodology can be finally deployed, with active involvement of all team members in order to benefit greater recognition of the nurse professional and the quantification of the quality / effectiveness of health in Brazil.
