A importância do ensino de Arte no contexto escolar em uma escola de ensino fundamental

Abstract

This study aims to carry out a reflection on the importance of art education in the formal school curriculum, taking as crop research conducted in a public state school education in the municipality of Bom Despacho/MG. This research reveals an attempt to understand how art is part of the school environment, as well as forms of intervention involving this discipline. They were used as data collection instruments: Art classes observations of a class of 9th grade of elementary school of the State School Coronel Robertinho during the year 2015 and the structured questionnaire to the teacher of this class observed collection and analysis of data He allowed a reflection on the space usually occupied by the Art of discipline in the school context in which it gave the research. It was also found that despite the obligation conferred by law for teaching art, this does not have due regard, as other disciplines of the school curriculum. These reflections indicate that the art of teaching in the school still lacks a more effective work and greater appreciation, which mainly involves a higher qualification of teachers working with such area in elementary school. It appears that the requirement that education is not enough to ensure the quality of work with this subject in the school curriculum. It was found that there is much to learn in this regard and that change must begin with the first action of the teacher, one of the main responsible for the success or not of this teaching in school.
