Aumento da adesão ao tratamento da hipertensão arterial sistêmica dos pacientes da ESF Boa Vista em Januária - Minas Gerais

Abstract

The Hypertension is a risk factor for coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, heart failure and end stage renal disease. These diseases are major causes of morbidity and mortality, with high social cost. In care of hypertensive patients, we realize that many do not have their blood pressure controlled and has low adherence to treatment; others do not understand how to use the medication and do not value the importance of this disease. In Brazil, professionals working in the primary health care system have made efforts towards the prevention and control of Hypertension. However they faced with poor adherence to treatment, such as health care users in the city of Januária - Minas Gerais. This study focuses on Hypertension and aims to improve the adherence of hypertensive patients assisted by Neighborhood Family Health Strategy Boa Vista City Januária, Minas Gerais. The methodology consisted of situational diagnosis, when it was prioritized intervene in the problem: "membership difficulty to antihypertensive treatment." We then carried literature review and elaborate action plan to intervene in the five we identified critical: information level (do not understand the importance of this disease); Habits and people's lifestyle (smoking, physical inactivity, diet high in salt); Social pressure (unemployment); health team worker process (little information to the user; lack of operative group); structure of health services (lack multidisciplinary team, unavailability of tests by SUS). With the implementation of the planned actions, to be developed by the local health team, it is expected as a result increase the adherence of hypertensive patients and improve the quality of treatment offered
