| Abstract: | O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender o perfil econômico e social das elites da vila de Taubaté/SP. Para compreender a fortuna apresentada por grandes produtores e negociantes taubateanos iremos estudar o desenvolvimento de diferentes produções na vila e a forma como essas produções se enquadravam nas redes mercantis regionais e imperiais. O estudo também analisa o papel político-social das figuras centrais da vila, as relações que mantinham com a câmara da vila e entre si, através do crédito. Esta pesquisa se estruturou a partir de três coleções documentais: os ofícios e cartas do Arquivo Histórico Ultramarino; os censos dos Maços de População, presentes no Arquivo Público do Estado de São Paulo; e, os testamentos e inventários das elites taubateanas, sob a guarda do Arquivo Municipal de Taubaté FélixGuisard Filho. |
| Abstract: | This work studies the economic and social profile of the elites in the village of Taubaté / SP. We will study the development of various productions and their linkages in trade networks. The study also analyzes the political and social role of the central figures of the village, the relationship they had with the city council of the village and each other through credit. This research was structured from three collections of documents: crafts and letters from Arquivo Histórico Ultramarino; censuses of Maços de População present in the Arquivo Público doEstado de São Paulo; and wills and inventories of local elites, under the custody of the Arquivo Municipal de Taubaté "Félix Guisard Filho". |
