| Abstract: | A partir da realidade de Miguel Burnier vivida pela experiência etnográfica, esta pesquisa buscou compreender os processos de construção de memórias dessa comunidade, cujas relações entre identidade e território se amparam em um envolvimento muito específico com o patrimônio cultural local e, notoriamente, com os bens arqueológicos. Realidade que, entre outros aspectos, está ligada à situação de conflito ambiental vivido pela comunidade após a instalação da mineração da Gerdau S. A., no ano de 2003, em uma afluência de arruinamentos sucessivos e repentinos. Na atual possibilidade de deslocamento forçado e destruição dessa comunidade, ela seamparou em diversas formas de resistência que incluem não somente as ferramentas legais, mas também armas simbólicas que são associadas à preservação de sua história e seus reflexos materiais, como os bens patrimoniais. Assim, a pesquisa se dedicou a entender Miguel Burnier a partir do seu contexto histórico e de sua inserção regional no Quadrilátero Ferrífero-Aquífero, e sobretudoinvestigar os processos de patrimonialização na sociedade contemporânea, com suas disputas de forças sociais de diferentes interesses e perspectivas, especialmente no tocante aos estudos de viabilidade ambiental de grandes empreendimentos filiados àmineração de ferro no Estado de Minas Gerais. O estudo buscou amparo teórico e metodológico na corrente do póscolonialismo,de modo que, além de pesquisa histórica-documental e prospecçõesarqueológicas realizadas, empregando o uso do geoprocessamento, a pesquisa etnográfica enlaçou o escopo da construção de uma narrativa desenvolvida junto, com e para a comunidade. A interdisciplinaridade da investigação, sustentada fundamentalmente nas áreas da Arqueologia, Antropologia e História, exigiu a discussão sobre os limites e possibilidades desses campos científicos frente ao contexto de Miguel Burnier. |
| Abstract: | From the reality of Miguel Burnier experienced by ethnographic experience, this doctoral research aimed at understanding the process of memories construction of the aforementioned community, whose relationship between identity and territory bolster in a very specific involvement with the local cultural heritage and, notoriously, witharchaeological assets. The reality, among other aspects, interwoven with the environmental conflict situation experienced by the community after the installation of the Gerdau S. A. mining in 2003, in an affluence of successive and sudden ruin. Given the present possibility of forced displacement and destruction of this community, it has relied on various forms of resistance which included not only the legal tools but alsosymbolic weapons associated with the preservation of its history and its material reflexes, such as cultural heritage. Thus, the research was dedicated to understanding Miguel Burnier from its historical context and its regional insertion in the Quadrilátero Ferrífero-Aquífero, andespecially to investigate the processes of patrimonialization in the contemporary society, with its social forces disputes of different interests and perspectives, especially with regard to the environmental feasibility studies of large iron ore mining companies in the state of Minas Gerais.The study sought theoretical and methodological support in the postcolonialism rationale, so that in addition to profound historical documentary research and archaeological surveys carried out, using the use of geoprocessing, the ethnographic research encapsulates the scope of the construction of a developed narrative together with and for the community. The interdisciplinarity of the fundamentally sustainedresearch in the areas of Archeology, Anthropology and History, exacts the discussion about the limits and possibilities of these scientific fields in the context of Miguel Burnier. |
