As fontes do medo na educação: estudo de caso de uma escola construída onde existiu um cemitério

Abstract

This work has the aim to understand the role of fear in contemporary society, in special, the singular situation about the sources of fear experienced by former teachers and former students from their experiences within a town of Minas Gerais, showed at Grupo Escolar José Gonçalves de Melo from Itaúna in the early years of 1950s. This school was built where earstwhile there was the second cemetery of the town which was built by the monks barbôneos, following the principles and Christian traditions, in other words, where once existed a permanent abode of the dead who awaited the resurrection, and that space later became a school. To understand the fear, contributed to the demarcation theoretical of this study, multidisciplinary research and reflections made by authors such as: Azevedo, Bauman, Beck, Delumeau, Duby, Elias, Kehl, Mira y Lopez and others. The development of this research and the writing of the thesis preparation enabled us to understand better the different theoretical productions about the sources of fear, what we present as possible analytical frameworks of fear of the phenomenon, including in the field of education. In this current research, we try to know the two modes of imposition of fear, as shown by the theorists of the theme: the fear wh ile feeling mobilizer of vital energies manifested in different stimuli, and second, the present fear in different episodes in which individuals are led to feel from an imaginary situation. To check these guidelines (re)passed to the teachers of the primary school José Gonçalves de Melo proceeded to the Analysis of speeches present inside the school recorded in the First Book of Meetings Pedagogical. Interviews were conducted with the individuals enabling check their social representations that even have sp ent more than sixty years, it still keeps in memory experiences about fear. Finally, it was concluded that fear still endures and it is registered in the imaginary of the interviewees, presented in this research in the form of Collective Subject Discourse.
