| Abstract: | Tem como objetivo desenvolver um estudo sobre o evento World Summit on the Information Society - WSIS (Cúpula Mundial sobre a Sociedade da Informação - CMSI), convocada pela Organização das Nações Unidas - ONU e organizada pela União Internacional das Telecomunicações - UIT, com a contribuição da UNESCO, cujas fases ocorreram em Genebra 2003 e na Tunísia 2005. Desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa sobre os documentos finais produzidos pela CMSI, de forma a investigar o que foi discutido e acordado pelos países participantes, quais as metas projetadas para o desenvolvimento da Sociedade da Informação, buscando compreender como as informações da CMSI podem ser estratégicas para os governos no desenvolvimento de políticas nacionais de informação. Conclui-se que a CMSI possui informações estratégicas que podem ser adotadas pelos países e, também, que o evento tem caráter mais tecnológico-econômico que social. |
| Abstract: | The aim is to develop a research on the World Summit on the Information Society - WSIS, convoqued by the United Nations - UN, organized by the International Union of Telecommunication IUT with the contribution of UNESCO, whose rounds took place in Geneva - 2003 and Tunisia 2005. It was developed a research on the final documents of the WSIS, in order to investigate what was discussed and planned by the participant countries for the development of Information Society. The goal was to comprehend how the WSIS information can be strategic for governments in developing national policies for information. It concludes that the WSIS has strategic information that can be used by the governments and also it has a character more economic and technologic than social. |
