Gerenciamento da cadeia produtiva de distribuição urbana: adoção de controle e análise on-line da operação

Abstract

The logistic main objective is to provide a greater level of customer service, ensuring the competitiveness and reducing operating costs. To manage all the actors and data involved in the supply chain, operational and strategic level, it is necessary to use control and management tools for data and information aimed at decision-making structure. In this context, the urban freight distribution activities comprise the supply chain to interact more with sections of the cities. The main point of this paper is to analyze the level of the market demand. In this activity, there are several actors that interact constantly, such as customers, distributors, logistics operators and service providers of various segments. This present project is primarily focused on the service provider of technology support for operational control. The structure of the dissertation can be divided into: a literature review, case analysis and conclusions. The literature review addresses concepts of logistics, outsourcing, transportation and urban distribution. The case analysis attemps to demonstrate the methodologies applied in the planning and operational control. The applications were based on information collected with three companies. The described information follows the logic or below: characterization, industry, and current status of the operation. It is concluded that the control and management tools have a direct influence on the operating ratios, organizational performance and, consequently the customer´s satisfaction.
