| Abstract: | As transposições dentárias ainda são consideradas um desafio na prática clínica ortodôntica. Essas anomalias não possuem etiologia definida, causam danos estéticos e funcionais e os ortodontistas possuem dificuldade na escolha do tratamento, visto que as implicações variam de danos dentários, periodontais e perda dentária. São três as formas de tratamento para a transposição dentária: alinhamento dos dentes em suas posições corretas, alinhamento dos dentes mantendo a transposição seguida de reanatomização dos mesmos e extração de um dos dentes transpostos. Porém, a escolha do tratamento deve levar em consideração algumas condições, para que o tratamento possua o melhor custo - benefício possível. O objetivo do artigo é discutir as formas de tratamento, assim como as variáveis que devem ser analisadas e exemplificar as formas de tratamento com o relato de três casos clínicos. |
| Abstract: | The dental transpositions are still considered a challenge in the orthodontic clinic. These anomalies have no defined etiology, cosmetic and functional damage and orthodontists have difficulty in choosing the treatment, since the implications of damage vary dental, periodontal and tooth loss. There are three forms of treatment for tooth transposition: alignment of teeth in their correct positions, alignment of teeth in their transposed positions followed by reshaping their surfaces and extraction of a tooth transposed. However, the choice of treatment should consider some conditions for which treatment has the best value possible. The aim of this paper is to discuss treatment options, as well as the variables that must be analyzed and exemplify the forms of treatment with report of three clinical cases. |
