O tratamento de úlceras venosas na Atenção Primária: a utilização de tecnologias para o cuidado de enfermagem

Abstract

Venous ulcer is a skin lesion that affects the lower limbs and are common in the adult population, causing significant social and economic impact due to its recurrent nature and the long interval between onset and healing. Is associated with chronic venous insufficiency, which is the main cause of ulcers of the lower limbs. This study will enable to know the anatomy of the skin, wound pathophysiology, clinical features of venous ulcers, as well as the main symptoms. Also discussed was how to assess the wounds, the care must be taken with it, the best way to make the dressing, in addition to better coverage to be used in your treatment. The objective of this research was to discuss the use of cover dressings as assistive technology for the treatment of venous ulcers in primary health care. We opted for the literature review of the narrative where such books were used, dissertation, thesis and articles on the theme mentioned in portuguese the english. Finally we performed a brief report of activities related to wound treatment, developed in the Unit of Primary Health Care Carbonita New Life in the city, Minas Gerais. At the end highlights the importance of health care in this process, it needs to be aware and consider the whole, not just the technical view, but be careful and do the best reception of the patient considering the implications relating to venous ulcers. Clearly the interest of nurses evolve and develop their knowledge in this field.
