| Abstract: | O trabalho busca analisar a trajetória intelectual de Mariano Azuela, um dos mais reconhecidos escritores mexicanos do século XX. A análise concentra-se do início da década de 1910 quando começa a Revolução Mexicana até o ano de 1952, quando Mariano Azuela falece. A partir da trajetória de Mariano Azuela, refletimos sobre a política e a cultura mexicana, principalmente as relações entre os romances de Azuela e a formação da nova cultura revolucionária, bem como sobre as relações entre intelectuais e Estado no México. As mudanças pelas quais o país passou na primeira metade do século XX e, principalmente, como Azuela as percebeu também são analisadas durante todo o trabalho. |
| Abstract: | This work aims to analyse Mariano Azuelas intellectual life, one of the most recognized Mexican writers of the 20th century. The analysis is focused on early 1910 decade when Mexican Revolution started until 1952, when Mariano Azuela passed away. Through Mariano Azuelas intellectual life, politics and culture of Mexico are reflected, mainly liaisons between Azuelas novels and the creation of such a thing as a new revolutionary culture, and liaisons between other intellectuals and State at Mexico as well. Also, the changes which ones Mexico went through on the first fifty years of the 20th century are analysed on this work, specially Azuelas view about them. |
