O CAPS e as ações educativas voltadas para as famílias no cuidado do paciente em sofrimento mental

Abstract

This study aims to perform an integrative review of educational activities that can be performed by the CAPS staff with families in the care of patients with mental disorders by modification in family relationships arising from the transformation of health care provided to these patients with creation of substitutive models. An integrative review was conducted in the databases LILACS and SCIELO, using as descriptors, madness, institutionalization, psychiatric reform, psychosocial care center. From the analysis of the selected articles appeared the following categories:a discussion of madness; psychiatric reform and anti-asylum, thedeinstitutionalization movement in mental health, mental health new devices and deployment of the CAPS and; educational activities for family members of CAPS made by the team, to be analyzed by the literature. It can be concluded that the family becomes part of the patient's treatment in CAPS. The family to be accepted by the service staff, get to know a little more about mental illness , about the prospects of treatment on the daily handling with the family in treatment. Thus, the CAPS team has the task of involving the family in treatment, promote that closer relations. It wasconcluded that education for family members of patients seen at CAPS are as pillars for maintaining the patient in treatment, as users begin to feel respected, integrated with family life and society.
