A ação educativa do enfermeiro para o controle de infecção hospitalar: uma revisão integrativa

Abstract

In view of education are strategies for prevention of nosocomial infections, it is necessary to investigate how these actions have been performed by nurses in the control of nosocomial infections. Therefore, this work aims to seek, in Brazilian literature, studies that describe the actions taken by the nurse for infection control in the hospital environment. This is an integrative literature review which is one of the the research methods used in evidence-based practice. Educational activities performed by nurses, for the control of nosocomial infections, can be characterized by the education model adopted: continued and / or permanent through methods used to put them into practice, which are generally lectures, trainings, posters and partnerships with educationalinstitutions to undertake internships and vaccination campaigns. The action to educate and contribute to the free practice of contamination risk incumbent on all professionals working in the health field. There is a lack of systematization of these actions, the difficulty of professionals to know where and when the educational activities are performed . It is imperative that educational actions are indeed inserted into the routine of the institutions in order to become part of the collective tasks.
