dc.description.abstractThe medial mandibular flexure is the narrowing of the mandibular arch that occurs due to the action, especially the lateral pterygoid muscle, when the movements of opening and protrusion. Studies have been performed by dentists in order to understand the relationship of mandibular flexure in the design of prostheses. The aim of the study was to conduct a literature review on the subject mandibular flexure in order to know the latest definitions on the subject and its considerations in relation to prosthetic rehabilitation.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoA flexão mandibular medial é o estreitamento do arco mandibular que ocorre devido à ação, principalmente, do músculo pterigóideo lateral, quando dos movimentos de abertura e protrusão. Estudos vem sendo realizados por cirurgiões dentistas a fim de compreenderem a relação da deflexão mandibular no desenho das próteses. O objetivo do estudo foi realizar uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o assunto flexão mandibular a fim de conhecer as definições mais recentes sobre o assunto e suas considerações em relação às reabilitações protéticas.pt_BR
