| Abstract: | Estrelas pulsantes são objetos que apresentam variação de brilho, temperatura e velocidade radial devido a movimentos dinâmicos que resultam em expansão e/ou contração periódica da superfície estelar. No diagrama HR, essas estrelas ocupam uma região denominada faixa de instabilidade clássica que, geralmente, está relacionada às estrelas pós-Sequência Principal. No entanto, à medida que evoluem em direção à Sequência Principal, estrelas pré-Sequência Principal também atravessam a faixa de instabilidade. |
| Abstract: | Pulsating stars are stellar objects that show brightness, spectral type and radial velocity variation due to dynamic motions that result in periodic expansion and/or contraction of the stellar surface. In the HR diagram, these stars lie within the classic instability strip related to the post-Main Sequence stars. However, as the stars evolve towards the Main Sequence, the pre-Main Sequence stars also move across the instability strip. |
