| Abstract: | O presente estudo tem como foco central a análise da identidade e da carreira parlamentar do Partido dos Trabalhadores por meio dos discursos dos deputados federais e dos senadores eleitos entre os anos de 1983 e 2006. A atuação parlamentar petista foi construída na luta contra o Colégio Eleitoral, o regime militar e o neoliberalismo e no apoio a Assembléia Nacional Constituinte, as reformas sociais e estruturais e as greves dos trabalhadores no plenário do Congresso Nacional. Assim, o trabalho se propõe a analisar a construção da identidade e da carreira parlamentar petista por meio das permanências e das mudanças nos discursos e identificando a capacidade de crítica e de resolução de temas políticos direcionados para os trabalhadores, os cidadãos e a sociedade brasileira. |
| Abstract: | The present study aims to analyse the identity and the parliamentary career of the Partido dos Trabalhadores - Workers Party through the speeches of the members of parliament and senators elected from 1983 to 2006. The parliamentary actions of the Workers Party were constructed based in the fight against the Electoral College, the military regime and the neoliberalism, and supporting the National Constituent Assembly, the social and structural reforms and the workers' strikes in the National Congress plenary session. Thus, this study aims to analyse the construction of the identity and of the parliamentary career of the Workers Party through its continuities and changes in speeches and identifying its capacity for criticism and resolution of political issues directed to workers, citizens and Brazilian society. |
