Gestão de unidade de transporte: estudo se caso em uma organização pública

Abstract

Transport goods, property and assets and/or persons is not an isolated action. It requires commitment, proactivity and respect of the area manager. The attitude of the administrator reflects positively or negatively on the organization. Products and people are transported, services are sold, though, for that it is necessary to know the characteristic dynamics of the profession, "to transport". In this study, it is proposed to present to readers the activities developed by the Transport Unit of the State in the aspects of vehicles provision and movement control. The reader will be able to verify, according to some authors views, the criteria adopted in a department of transport, as well as viewing how requests and maintenances of vehicles are performed, and also to understand the importance of effective management and the organization tools that contribute to efficient administration. The acquisition of information occurred during a period of two and a half months, by observational methods. Subsequently, the performance of activities was evaluated and some bottlenecks diagnosed in the production process. As a result, management tools that will contribute to an administration in tactical and operational levels were suggested. The reader will assert information in the analysis of results of this work and will also know the proposed tools. The recommendations were implemented and it is emphasized that being open to an effective management is up to the manager and to each employee. Structuring the labor and managerial activities of the Unit of Transport and assigning responsibilities for the tasks will be more than satisfying for the organization as it will provide management control of the necessary procedures for the effective development of the activities concerning the Gameleira Unit of Transport, relevant points that result in the conclusions of this work.
