Abstract

This is a study that aimed to review the scientific literature on the "Challenge of Competency Assessment in Nursing Internship.. The study was conducted in the databases of the Virtual Health Library - VHL, LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature), IBECS (Spanish Bibliographic Index of Health Sciences), SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and BDENF ( Base nursing .) 06 studies that met the objectives of the research in the English language because there was intention to portray the Brazilian reality , and after analyzed , there was shortage with the scientific production on the theme found. Assessment for learning is an important constituent element of the pedagogical action , and should be recognized as such in order that it may be set in a space of learning. The evaluation process can also be viewed as an important tool that supports the improvement of teaching and learning, to provide information that allows the pedagogical practice is rethought and new significance. The assessment of learning competence is a challenge for the teachers, as the competent professional is one who demonstrates quality in their performance . In this perspective jurisdiction must rest on a set of feature among which : a balanced and humanistic personality, responsible . We can say that being responsible means knowing what to do in every situation, presupposes an understanding and judgment about the situation and an intention in action.
