Gravidez na adolescência: principais causas e consequências

Abstract

Adolescence is the period of transition from childhood to adulthood, the period from 12 to 19 years. The growing increase in the number of pregnant teenagers in the area covered by the family health strategy identified in the Situational Diagnosis Rafael Divine in June 2012 led to interest in deepening their knowledge about adolescence and correlated factors to the problem through the literature review about the main causes that lead teenagers to become pregnant and the main consequences of this pregnancy for teen, son, family, society and the health team. The portfolio of planning and evaluation Module of health Actions was used to facilitate the choice of the theme. The search was conducted of publications of the period of 2006 to 2012, in the databases of the Virtual Health Library (Lilacs and Scielo), BIRENE, Google Scholar, queries to the data of the primary health care information System-SIAB family health strategy Divine Rafael in the Municipal Health Secretariat of the city of Coroaci, texts of the modules of the course of specialization in family health, notebooks of basic attention of the Ministry of health. As determining factors for teenage pregnancy were cited the early onset of sexual life, media influence, family, lack of information in schools and health team, sexual violence, condom use, socio-economic aspects and the magical thinking of teenager and as consequences were found regarding the biological aspects of mother and baby and social and psychological aspects. Hopefully with this work, the team of the family health strategy Divine Raphael, can later develop an effective action plan for reducing the number of pregnancies in teenagers of their service area, from the understanding of the main determining factors and the main consequences of this pregnancy, thereby improving the health indicators.
