Plano de intervenção para redução da hipertensão arterial na área de abrangência da Equipe de Sáude da Família Fabião I do município Januária, Minas Gerais

Abstract

The municipality of Januária belongs to the state of Minas Gerais, lies 603 km from the state capital city of Belo Horizonte, it is considered one of the main cities of the North. The Family Health Team (FHT) Fabião I belongs to the municipality of Januária, through a situational diagnosis of the coverage area conducted in 2014, using the method of Situational Strategic Planning (PES), they identifying and selected high prevalence of High Blood Pressure (HBP) as a priority issue for intervention. This study aims to develop an intervention plan for reducing the prevalence of hypertension in the area. To design the intervention plan was carried out a literature review on the topic in electronic database of virtual libraries as SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and BIREME (Regional Library of Medicine) using the following descriptors: hypertension and health strategy family. The follows critical nodes were identified: 1) Inadequate Habits and styles of life; 2) Low level of information on population about hypertension. For each critical node were designed operations and they initiated activities and educational lectures. It is believed that the intervention can demonstrate the patients knowledge about the disease and enable the acquisition of new knowledge, through courses, activities and educational lectures. This shows that this process occurs in a personal way in which each patient has his or her knowledge as needed. The results of this study realize the importance of a better understanding of Hypertension and its risk factors in order to achieve improvements in the quality of life of people with hypertension.
