Tabagismo coexistindo com Hipertensão arterial sistêmica e Diabetes na Comunidade do Paulo Bandeira em Maceió-AL: projeto de intervenção

Abstract

The Health Unit which operates the health team of housing Paulo Bandeira in Benedito Bentes 2 in the city of Maceió-AL, it is remarkable that there is a high prevalence of tobacco users in the of hypertensive and diabetic group, and this persistent combination an aggravating cardiovascular risk. This study aimed to promote intervention strategies for tobacco control in the group of hypertensive and diabetic of Paulo Bandeira community. The methodology was initially raised data onthe number of smokers among hypertensive and diabetic June to December 2015, found an n = 33, corresponding to 21% of the specific group. It is followed by a literature review from articles found in the databases of Virtual Health Library, Google Scholar and Scielo. This review revealed the importance of primary and also secondary prevention with the use of educational interventions in patients with groups of non-communicable chronic diseases, especially cardiovascularinvolvement such as the Hypertension and Diabetes. With the implementation of the intervention project is expected to a team trained to work with the smoking topic, the establishment of an operating group against smoking and the support of the municipal management and the Municipal Health to allow better performance of experts and provision of anti-smoking drugs in pharmacy unit
