Civil construction is one of the most impacting sectors of the environment, financially and culturally today. Faced with this since the 1990s there is a concern to reduce negative impacts and to create project methodologies that meet the needs of sustainable projects. Among these methodologies, is the Integrated Project Process and the present work intends to evaluate the state of the art of design methodologies in architecture offices in Brazil aiming at estimating the feasibility of implementing non-conventional design methodologies, more specifically the Process of Integrated Project, with a proposal for improving the quality and sustainability of buildings. For this, a research was applied with the architects who develop architectural projects, and from the same the results were obtained. The method used for this work was a bibliographical review and questionnaire application for designers. The results of the research showed that there is still a lot of ignorance and lack of interest and resistance of the professionals to implement the Integrated Project Process. In this sense, it is suggested that the Integrated Project Process be better disseminated so that professionals have more knowledge about it and its benefits, so that they can implement it in the future.pt_BR
