| Abstract: | Pode-se afirmar que as experiências totalitárias são a pedra de toque que torna os escritos arendtianos tão peculiares. Dessa maneira, este trabalho se constitui numa tentativa de fundamentar, por meio dos escritos arendtianos, a hipótese de que o animal laborans fornece as condições para o surgimento e consolidação do Totalitarismo. Isso ocorre porque, segundo Arendt, na modernidade, há um declínio do político e a diluição da fronteira entre espaço público e privado culminando na ascensão do social. O que estamos entendendo aqui por declínio do político é a imbricação das fronteiras entre vida política e vida biológica, público e privado e liberdade e libertação, ou seja, é o momento em que os homens não mais se importam com as questões coletivas, mas apenas com a pura necessidade de satisfação biológica. Nesse processo, ocorre a glorificação do trabalho e a vitória do animal laborans, isto é, há o surgimento da esfera social e, por conseguinte, a diluição das classes em massas. Nossas análises partem da hipótese de que o totalitarismo só foi possível porque a matéria prima que o engendraria já estava disponível na modernidade com a vitória do animal laborans. Para alcançar tal compreensão da especificidade e novidade totalitária, vamos, na primeira parte desta dissertação, estabelecer a teoria da ação como ponto de partida para determinar o âmbito próprio do político. Realizar-se-á, no segundo capítulo, uma análise da alienação e vitória do animal laborans, visando indicar quais elementos ali presentes podem ter sustentado este regime. Por fim, no último capítulo, tratar-se-á dos elementos totalitários que o tornaram tão peculiar, com o objetivo de demonstrar que a sua origem deu-se por meio da sociedade de massa moderna |
| Abstract: | This paperwork has the purpose to present, based on Arendts thought, that animal laborans provides the conditions for the emergence and consolidation of Totalitarianism. This happens because according to Arendt, in modern age there is a degeneration of politics and dissolution of the limits between public and private space, leading to social sphere. What is considered here as a degeneration of politics is an imbrication of the boundaries between political life and biological life, public and private, and freedom and liberation. This happens when men are no longer interested in public and collective subjects, and the only thing that matters to them is the satisfaction of their own biological needs. In this process, the labor is glorified, which conducts to the victory of animal laborans; in other words, there is the emergence of social sphere and the dilution of the classes into masses. The hypothesis defended here is that the totalitarianism was only possible because it has its basis in the victory of animal laborans. With the purpose of showing the specificity of totalitarianism, the first part of this work will stablish that the theory of action is a starting point to determine the scope of politics. In the second chapter, the alienation and the victory of animal laborans will be analyzed, with the objective to indicate which elements in them are sustained by totalitarianism. In the last chapter, the elements that make totalitarianism a very particular phenomenon will be approached with the aim of showing that totalitarianism has the modern mass society as an important basis for its origination |
