dc.description.abstractPassos is a Brazilian municipality located in the interior of the State of Minas Gerais based on the agroindustry economy. The basic health unit Penha II has 1,137 families registered and among the activities developed there are to the actions of women's health through Pap smears. Therefore, the objective of this study was to outline the incidence of Sexually Transmitted Diseases among women attending the basic health unit with the results of the Pap smears. In addition, educational activities to prevent sexually transmitted diseases and care for women were carried out with the patients. For the development of the intervention proposal, a bibliographic research was carried out in scientific articles, books and indexed texts on the subject. Among the 426 examinations recorded in the basic health unit records, 183 were diagnosed as "normal", only organisms of the natural flora. However, in 61 exams the presence of Gardnerella vaginalis was identified and in 20 exams the presence of the genus Candida sp. In addition, we found four patients the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis and in one patient the genus Leptothrix sp. It should be emphasized that the presence of coconuts sp.was identified in 56 patients. With the accomplishment of this work it is expected to improve the knowledge and self-care of the health of the women attended in the Penha II Neighborhood. Women are still expected to be multipliers of sex education, and thus a link between women who have not yet sought help in Sexually Transmitted Diseases prevention and treatmentpt_BR
dc.description.resumoPassos é um município brasileiro localizado no interior do Estado de Minas Gerais baseado na economia agroindustrial. A unidade básica de saúde (UBS) Penha II possui 1.137 famílias cadastradas e dentre as atividades nela desenvolvidas estão às ações de saúde da mulher por meio de exames de Papanicolau. Portanto, o objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar o perfil da incidência de Doenças Sexualmente Transmissíveis (DST) entre as mulheres atendidas na UBS com os resultados dos exames de Papanicolau. Além disso, atividades educativas de prevenção a doenças sexualmente transmissíveis e de cuidados com o tratamento às mulheres foram realizadas com as pacientes. Para o desenvolvimento da proposta de intervenção foi realizado pesquisa bibliográfica em artigos científicos, livro e textos indexados sobre o tema. Dentre os 426 exames registrados nos prontuários da UBS identifica-se que 183 obtiveram diagnóstico de normal, apenas organismos da flora natural. Entretanto em 61 exames foi identificada a presença de Gardnerella vaginalis e em 20 exames a presença do gênero Candida sp. Além disso, forma encontrados quatro pacientes a presença de Trichomonas vaginalis e em um paciente o gênero Leptothrix sp. Ressalta-se que a presença de cocos sp foi identificada em 56 pacientes. Com a realização deste trabalho espera-se melhoria do conhecimento e do autocuidado da saúde das mulheres atendidas no Bairro Penha II. Ainda se espera que as mulheres sejam multiplicadoras de educação sexual, sendo, portanto, elo entre mulheres que ainda não buscaram ajuda na prevenção e tratamento de DST.pt_BR
