| Abstract: | Essa pesquisa investiga a figuração do corpo popular no livro fotográfico Brasília Teimosa, da artista Bárbara Wagner. A obra, lançada em 2007, destaca-se pela proposição de formas não hegemônicas na figuração do corpo popular pela fotografia, a partir do uso das cores, da luz artificial, da ancoragem em referências midiáticas das revistas de celebridades e por agregar a participação dos fotografados no processo criativo. Procurei discutir como as imagens de Brasília Teimosa ligam-se a outras, de outros tempos, outros autores e contextos, em uma genealogia das semelhanças e também quais foram os caminhos disruptivos que Bárbara Wagner tomou em relação a tradições ou mesmo tendências contemporâneas na fotografia documentária brasileira. |
| Abstract: | This research investigates the figuration of the popular body in the photographic book Brasilia Teimosa, by the artist Bárbara Wagner. The work, released in 2007, stands out by the proposition of non-hegemonic forms in the figuration of the popular body by photography, through the use of colors, artificial light, anchoring in celebrity magazines and for adding the participation of those who were photographed in the creative process. I aimed to discussing how Brasília Teimosa's images connect with others, from other times and other authors and contexts, in a genealogy of similarities and also which were the disruptive paths that Barbara Wagner followed in relation to traditions or even contemporary trends in Brazilian documentary photography. |
