Funções do 2º grau: comparação de livros didáticos

Abstract

This study addressed Algebra, focusing on the equations of the second degree. For this purpose, the general objective was to compare this content in three textbooks of Mathematics for the 9th year of elementary school II of public school. In this way, a methodology of bibliographical research was used, in which a comparison was made between three Mathematics books of the 9th grade. The investigations revealed thatthe books are selected by the teachers of the schools and then the MEC sends them to each school institution. The research revealed that the content of Algebra / Equation of the second degree is the same in the three copies analyzed, follow the methodology oriented in the PCNs to elaborate questions geared to the reality of the students, having one or another more deepening. Another issue that has proved quite evident was that the textbook is more a teaching-learning instrument, but thereis a need to better train mathematics teachers. The work demonstrated the importance of research in universities, arousing in the teacher the interest in the work object itself.
