| Abstract: | A relação entre assimetria bilateral de força de membros inferiores e o desempenho esportivo tornou-se foco de pesquisas nos últimos anos. No entanto, no que diz respeito as mudanças de direção no futebol ainda existe uma carência de evidências científicas que suportem essa relação. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar o nível da relação entre a assimetria de força de membros inferiores no salto vertical com contramovimento e o tempo total, o tempo parcial da mudança de direção e o déficit de mudança de direção nos testes 505 e L em jogadores de futebol. A amostra foi constituída por vinte atletas da categoria sub-17 de um clube profissional de Belo Horizonte que disputa a primeira divisão do campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol. A assimetria de força de membros inferiores para as variáveis pico de força e impulso foram mensuradas no salto com contramovimento realizado em uma plataforma de força dupla. O desempenho das mudanças de direção foi mensurado nos testes 505 e L por meio de três parâmetros: 1) tempo total do teste; 2) tempo parcial da mudança de direção; 3) déficit de mudança de direção. O nível de relação entre as variáveis foi definido pelo coeficiente de correlação linear de Pearson. O nível de significância adotado foi de 0,05. Não foram encontradas correlações estatisticamente significantes entre a assimetria de força de membros inferiores das variáveis pico de força e impulso e o desempenho dos testes de mudança de direção. Pode-se concluir que a assimetria de força de membros inferiores mensurada no salto com contramovimento não possui relação com o tempo total dos testes de mudança de direção 505 e L. Conclui-se também que mesmo com a utilização de parâmetros mais precisos para mensurar o desempenho da habilidade de mudar de direção como o tempo parcial da mudança de direção e o déficit da mudança de direção, a sua relação com a assimetria bilateral de força de membros inferiores não se sustenta |
| Abstract: | The relationship between bilateral asymmetry of lower limb strength and sports performance has become the focus of research in recent years. However, regarding the changes of direction in the soccer still exists a lack of scientific evidences that support this relation. The aim of this study was to investigate the level of the relationship between the asymmetry of lower limb strength and the performance of the changes of direction in soccer players. The sample consisted of twenty athletes of the sub-17 category of a professional club. The lower limb strength asymmetry for the peak force and impulse variables were measured in the counter-movement jump performed on a double force platform. The performance of the changes of direction was measured in tests 505 and L by means of three parameters: 1) total time of the test; 2) part-time of the change of direction; 3) deficit of change of direction. The level of relation between variables was defined by the linear correlation coefficient of Pearson. The level of significance was 0.05. No statistically significant correlations were found between the lower limb strength asymmetry of the peak force and impulse variables and performance of change in direction tests. It can be concluded that the asymmetry of lower limb strength measured in the countermovement jump has no relation to the total time of the 505 and L direction change tests. It was also concluded that even with the use of more precise parameters to measure performance of the ability to change direction such as the part-time change of direction and the deficit of the change of direction, its relation to bilateral asymmetry of lower limb strength does not hold |
