Abstract: | Suspended rope training, also known as TRX®, has been gaining more and moresupporters and its use in gyms and by physical education professionals has beenincreasing in recent years. However, little is known about their use based onscientific knowledge. In addition, the material available for its dissemination requiresmore technical information and a better analysis of the exercises based on theavailable scientific contents. Thus, the objective of this work was to perform aqualitative analysis of 10 exercises performed with the equipment. This analysis wasbased on the fields of Theory of Sports Training, Biomechanics, Kinesiology and allavailable material on this training medium, as well as considering the possibilities oftraining physical capacities, strength and flexibility in their different manifestations. The analysis pointed out that these abilities can be developed in training withsuspended ropes. However, some limitations have been identified, since differencesin execution and in the manifestations of training are inevitable when one observesthe level of training that each individual presents. The instability that the equipmentproduces hinders the execution of many exercises. The degrees of amplitude mayinterfere with the performance of the different forms of manifestations. In addition, theintensity may vary according to the individual's positioning relative to the fixed pointof the equipment. It is suggested that it serve as a starting point for further researchand studies in this area |
