| Título: | Do pecado pessoal ao pecado Social: a solidariedade na reatualização do ensino religioso da Companhia de Jesus |

| Resumo: | Este trabalho de tese aborda o itinerário de constituição da Companhia de Jesus como primeira Ordem de Ensino da Igreja Católica, com ênfase especial em seu ensino religioso. Partindo da análise de fontes remotas (secs. XV a XVII) e recentes (séc. XX), investigaram-se as reatualizações das representações de pecado e solidariedade feitas pela Companhia ao longo de sua história, principalmente a partir das decisões do Concílio Vaticano II (1962-1965). Observou-se que, a partir desse concílio, o pecado deixou de ser um atributo do sujeito, passando a ser um atributo de uma sociedade. Fez-se a passagem do pecado pessoal para o pecado social, sendo que este último se encontra intimamente relacionado com a questão da solidariedade. Para melhor entender a questão do pecado e suas representações, de acordo com o conceito proposto por Roger Chartier, foi necessário recorrer aos escritos de diversos religiosos (jesuítas e de outras ordens), bem como de leigos; e para se compreenderem os atuais desafios enfrentados pelo ensino religioso da Companhia de Jesus, na busca de uma educação para a solidariedade, discutiram-se as diferenças entre os conceitos de indivíduo e sujeito, este último tendo como referencial teórico a Psicanálise. Verificou-se que o ensino da Companhia de Jesus visa não somente à transmissão de informações científicas, que preparam o jovem para o mundo do trabalho, mas, e principalmente, transmitir valores que possibilitem ao aluno refletir sobre si próprio e sobre o mundo que o cerca, com intenções de transformá-lo em um ser humano mais justo. Dessa forma, a educação em valores perpassa todo o currículo de ensino das escolas da Companhia, e não apenas as matérias do ensino religioso. O pecado, agora transmudado em pecado social, manifesta-se nas iniquidades da sociedade contemporânea, e sua remissão se dá pela via da prática diuturna da solidariedade. E é essa solidariedade que a Companhia visa inculcar nos seus alunos, ex-alunos e comunidade escolar, numa reatualização das representações de pecado, em consonância com as decisões do Concílio Vaticano II. |
| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the history of the constitution of the Company of Jesus as the first ¡°Educational Order¡± of the Catholic Church, with special emphasis on religious education. From the analysis of remote sources (15th-17th centuries) to recent ones (20th century), the author investigated the changes in the representations of sin and solidarity of the Company of Jesus throughout its history, mainly after the deliberations of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965). It was observed that after the Second Vatican Council, sin ceased to be an attribute of the individual and became an attribute of the society, changing from personal to social. The latter is closely associated with solidarity. The differences between the concepts of individual and subject were discussed within a psychoanalytical framework in order to better understand sin and its representations, in accordance with the concept proposed by Roger Chartier, and the current challenges faced in religious education by the Company of Jesus in its quest for an education for solidarity. It was necessary to resort to several religious writings (from the Jesuits and other orders), as well as to lay texts. In its educational mission, the Company of Jesus aims not only to pass on scientific information to prepare the youth for the work force, but also to confer values that allow the students to reflect about themselves and the world surrounding them, with the intention of making them more just human beings. Thus, value education runs through the curriculum in the Company of Jesus schools, rather than there being a strictly religious content. Sin is now converted into social sin and is considered to be manifest in today.s society; its remittal can be attained through the daily practice of solidarity. The Company of Jesus seeks to impart solidarity to its students, alumni, and the educational community, thus updating its representations of sin, in agreement with the deliberations of the Second Vatican Council. |
