| Abstract: | Através deste trabalho procurou-se desenvolveruma análise dos impactos que a chamada Corrida Espacial produziu na sociedade brasileira. Embora desenvolvida por Estados Unidos e União Soviética, a Corrida Espacial produziu transformações que influenciaram o mundo de uma maneira geral. Tal evento foi responsável por mais que o simples desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico e acabou por povoar a imaginação de toda uma geração. Para compreender melhor o período buscaremos analisar de que forma a Corrida Espacial foi lida pela Música Popular Brasileira no período entre 1957 e 1972, analisando como artistas e compositores entenderam o processo, e como se situaram como contemporâneos do mesmo. Além disso, a partir desse enfoque, procuraremos refletir sobre o potencial da produção musicalcomo ferramenta de estudo da história. |
| Abstract: | Through this essay,we attempted to develop an analysis of the impacts that the so-called Space Raceproduced in Brazilian society. Although developed by the United States andUSSR, the Space Raceproduced changes that influenced the world over all. That event was responsible for more than just scientific and technological development and ended up populatingthe imagination of an entire generation. To better understand the period we will seek to analyze how the Space Racewas interpreted by Popular Brazilian Music in the period between 1957 and 1972, analyzing how artists and song writers have understood the process, andput themselves as contemporary. Moreover, through thisapproach we will try to considerthe potentialof music production as a study tool in history. |
