| Abstract: | Neste trabalho é proposta uma nova abordagem da distribuição beta logística pertencente à classe de distribuições beta generalizada. Esta distribuição já se encontr na literatura e é denominada de distribuição logística generalizada do tipo IVB. Paara essa nova abordagem, foi realizado o estudo da função densidade de probabilidade, função de distribuição acumulada e função de risco. Apresentaremos expressões para as principais propriedades dessta distribuição, tais como, momentos, função geradora de momentos, medidas de tendência central e função densidade de probabilidade das estatísticas de ordem,entre olutros. O estimador de máxima verossimilhança é proposto para estimar os parâmetros desta distribuição e a matriz de informação esperada é calculada. Para ilustrar a aplicação da distribuição beta logística utilizamos dois conjuntos de dados reais, mostrando que ela é mais flexível que outras distribuições existentes na literatura |
| Abstract: | This work proposes anew approach to the beta logistic distribution belonging to the class of generalized beta distributions. is known in literature and called the generalizad logistic of type IV. For this new approach, the study was conducted of the probability density functino, cumulative distribution function and hazard function. We present expressions for the moments, moment generating functin, measures of central tendency, probability density function of order statistics, average deviations, entropies,and Lorenz and Bonferroni curves. The estimador of maximum likelihood is proposed to estimate the parameters this distribution and the expected informatin matrix is calculated. To illustrate the application the beta logistic distribution we used two real data sets showing that it is more flexible than other distributions in the literature. |
