Uso da terra e variações de temperatura e umidade relativa do ar na bacia do Córrego Marinheiro, Sete Lagoas - MG

Abstract

This research presents an analysis of the influence of macro and mesoscale climatic phenomena on the climatic elements variation (temperature, relative humidity and precipitation) in the area of Marinheiro river basin, Sete Lagoas MG, between 1930 and 2013. Phenomena such as Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) and El Niño were fundamental to understanding the variability found within this time period. With the data available in this time frame, it was possible to verify and discuss the importance of the influence of man-made spatial transformations on the behavior of elements such as temperature, relative humidity and precipitation in the period from 1930 to 2013, since there was a large population growth between the 1980s and 2000s in the municipality. In addition to the historical data, the field research data collected between June and August 2015 allowed us to understand the behavior of climatic elements in different types of land use and land cover and in different weather conditions, in interaction with the natural and man-made features of the Marinheiro river basin area. From the reading both of the historical and field research data and through the analysis of thematic maps of the Marinheiro river basin (relief maps, orientation and inclination of the slopes and land use), it was possible to elaborate the corresponding climate units map for the Marinheiro river basin area. Fuor climatic units were defined.
