Parâmetros sanguíneos de ovinos alimentados com coprodutos da bananicultura

Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the hemogram and biochemical profile of healthy sheep fed with isoprotein diets containing banana crop wastes (Musa paradisiaca). Thirty males Santa Inês castrated males were identified and distributed in a randomized block design, with five treatments and six replicates. These were fed twice a day, at 7 and 16 hours, according to treatments: T1, 60% concentrate and 40% of tifton hay; T2, 60% concentrate and 40% banana leaf hay; T3, 60% concentrated and 20% tifton hay and 20% leaf hay; T4, 60% concentrate and 40% banana pseudocaule hay; T5, 60% concentrate and 20% tifton hay and 20% banana pseudocane hay. On the 21 st day, blood was collected by jugular vein puncture in the morning, after 12 hours fasting. The data were submitted to analysis of variance and the means compared with the Student-Newman-Keuls (SNK) test at 5% significance. There were no differences between the treatments in the hemogram (p> 0.05) for erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit, mean corpuscular hemoglobin, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, mean corpuscular volume, erythrocyte distribution range, leukocytes, neutrophils, segmented neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, platelets, platelet distribution range, platelet and platelet volume. The values of cholesterol, glucose, triglycerides, protein, albumin, globulins, ratio of albumin globulin, urea, creatinine calcium and phosphorus were similar between the treatments, as well as the concentrations of total fractionated protein (albumin, 1, 2, ,) and the albumin: globulin ratio. Only the eosinophil variable presented a statistical difference in the treatment with 20% leaf hay. The inclusion of 20 or 40% of leaf hay or banana pseudohay in the sheep diet did not after blood parameters after 20 days of feeding.
