A reestruturação produtiva em um cluster da tecelagem artesanal e os impactos no conteúdo do trabalho: elementos para compreensão da relação saúde-trabalho

Abstract

This study is part of demands for prevention of musculoskeletal diseases that occur on artisans, linked to artisanal weaving in the municipality of Resende Costa Minas Gerais State. It is a specific disease known as work-related musculoskeletal disorder or work-related upper extremity disorder. The municipality organizes under the form of handmade clusters work organization and is remarkable for its history and tradition in artisan work which stimulates the local tourism and the economy. Because of the growing demands for consumer goods, the region has passed through a process of productivity restauration, more specifically after the 1990s, a period marked by organizational changes on the production structure, based on the distribution of the work, productive specialization with the redefinition of the duties of the work force involved and subsequent devaluation of the work. The purpose of this study is to verify the existing relation among the current dynamic of this system of artisanal base production and the processes of adaptation of the artisans in face of the new requirements, brought by the organizational and social variabilities, assumed due to the demands of production. Based on what is preconceived on Qualitative research in Health and Ergonomics, were analyzed real situations at work, with the purpose of understanding the determining factor of the pathogenic characteristic of the activity in specific situations and delimitate the field of preventive possibilities in such context.
